Ruggish: 2-In-1 Play Rug

Outfit Details: Jeans | Name Necklace | Madewell top is old but similar here and here | Temple’s romper | Temple’s Headband

Having some sort of wipeable or washable rug or play mat for your little one is a must, IMO. This is especially important in those early months when baby is doing tummy time, sitting up, and learning to roll over and eventually crawl. I remember when Temple was itty bitty and we would bring our play mat to and from each room with us. When Temple was little, I used to set it up in the corner of the kitchen with all her toys so I could get things done, while she stayed within eye-shot. Man, those were the days! Now she’s moving at lightning speed, and I’d be so lucky to have her sit in one place for more than a second or two!! Now she’s walking (but mostly running), I have to keep an eye on her 24/7.

I recently teamed up with The Tot, a Dallas-based kids boutique, to share Ruggish 2-in-1 play rugs. They are one-piece, reversible, and look just like a real rug! These play rugs contain a layer of memory foam so you get that nice padding for your crawlers. I’ll be honest with y’all, I used to have the Roam Free tile play mat, and it worked just fine, but the design rubbed off super quickly and the tiles didn’t stay together very well. Plus, I couldn’t just roll it up and move it from room to room like I can with the Ruggish. I wish I would have known about this brand when Temple was tiny- it’s much more comfortable, and it’s made with non-toxic materials that are free of BPA, Phthalates, Lead, Latex, Formaldehyde, and EVA. I mentioned that it is reversible- the other side has the cutest interactive map to play with on the back! It comes in multiple cute patterns that blend right in with the rest of your home decor (forget the super bright colors that scream “baby toys”) and are the size of a standard rug.

The Tot is offering y’all 10% off your purchase with code: MADALEIGH – just use that code at checkout!

Below I’ve also linked Temple’s absolute favorite toys and books (or as she likes to say, “book-ahs”). She is 16-months and loves her babies and her farm animals, and has recently really warmed up to cooking in her play-kitchen! If you’re in the market for a play mat, you should for sure go for the Ruggish. But, if you’re looking for something else for your little one (maybe one of Temple’s faves), you can still use the 10% code at The Tot! Enjoy Everyone!
